You should read The Hidden Hand by E.D.E.N Southworth. It's a fantastic tale. I had been told to read it by a friend, but it looked too old-fashion for me. The following semester, I took the same English class that he had, and it was on my list of novels we would read. So, I had to read it anyway, and I am very glad that I did. It's a long book, but it's a very quick read. You'll have to let me know if you read it, and if you like it.

Glad you read it! Gilead was one I sent. I wasn't sure about passing along I book I hadn't read, but it came to me in such a good way I thought you might like it.

On one of the first Sunday mornings at our new home Will and I went strolling around. We passed a Victorian house with a small crowd out on the porch. They asked us to join them, and eager to meet our new neighbors, we did. Turned out many of us had gone to the same college (SJC).

The hosts set up camp and offered coffee and books to share. Another neighbor brought strawberries. It was a great moment, and they convinced me to take Gilead.

I meant to read it myself, but with lots of books ahead of it on my bedside table, I decided you might enjoy it.

If Josh doesn't get to it, maybe I'll have my turn. I've got lots of good ones to trade for it when you're home!
