Artemis Bathing

According to Ovid, Actaeon was a great hunter, and appropriately devoted to Artemis. His devotion got him into trouble. One day while hunting with his dogs, he wandered a little too far into the woods. He happened across Artemis, who had been hunting that day, too.

Artemis was taking a bath when Actaeon saw her. She was so offended, having been seen by a mortal man, that she turned him into a stag.

Actaeon was torn apart by his own hunting dogs.

Now, thanks to the miracle of YouTube, and the Chinese vogue for teaching tiny babies to swim, you get to see the sight that got Actaeon killed. Don’t watch it with your dog.

    Quite possibly one of the more bizarre things I’ve seen… and I’ve seen a few. 100% cute though.

    Hey Josh & Emily!

    I just came across your site…wow! You’re still in China! And congratulations on your new little girl.
    Artemis is a great name. I’m expecting too and battling with the task of finding a good (reasonably original)
    name.

    Small world - I just found Terry (Josh remember him from Korea?) on Facebook and now you.
    Anyway, nice to know you’re OK and enjoying being abroad. :)
